Wow!! That Photofunia sure is fun!! We uploaded pictures of our kids and had so much fun!! In class I would take pictures throughout the year during special activities, class parties ect- and as an end of the year surprise make a presentation of all their pics- it will make them feel great and special! (as a task they could write a composition about the picture I chose for them!)
Also- when teaching grammer ( I call it writing skills....) I bring in posters or ideas to write about. What fun it could be to bring in an image I created with their pictures in it for them to write a paragraph about!!

I also had phun (fun) playing with photofunia - maybe too much. Your idea is nice, but I'm still trying to figure out an educational use for it. It's too good an opportunity to pass up.
